Spend your summer improving your paddling skills and learning all the tricks on our 7 day white water adventure!
Our 7 Day white water kayaking program will have you feeling confident in the water in no time. Before heading to the white water we will give a full instructional pond class to work on wet exits, rolls, t-rescues, and paddling techniques that will have you feeling like a pro. Then we will venture out to local water and run sections of the New River, ending with the big finale on the Upper New River Gorge with class III rapids. You will also get to participate in our swift water experience where you learn skills such as throw rope techniques, how to avoid foot entrapment, safe swimmer position, and how to maneuver over strainers. Really you just get to play in swift water while learning some cool stuff along the way.
This program does not involve much backpacking, so if that is what you are looking for then you should consider the Classic Adventure Trip. You will still be camping in tents and carrying your things around in a backpack but the farthest you will have to carry it is to your campsite every night.

White water kayaking is quickly becoming one of the most popular adventure sports in America, so get the confidence you need with our course to boat on your own. You also get the opportunity to paddle some great runs in south west VA & WV.
Of course you will still get to do the amazing 900′ zip line and have the bonding experience with your group that only camping out, bonfires and adventure activities provide. This program is great on its own if you only have one week to squeeze in some adventure this summer, or tack it on to a Classic Adventure program and you will $75 off your second trip. Adding it on is a great way to extend your summer adventure without having to commit to something like the month long Wilderness Leadership Course or the summer long Leadership Training Program.
