900' Zip Line
A View and a Thrill
Just a 5-10 minute walk from our Admin building along the Jeep Road, you'll come upon the spectator's area for our 900' Zip Line. Here you'll have a class on how everything works from one of our year-round Zip Line Instructors. We may ask you to help with one of the tasks that helps to get our zip liners down from the line. Feel free to ask questions, they're very knowledgeable and want to make sure you have a great time!
After the class, your group will make their way, one at a time, up our zip line trail - hang in there, it's one of the most rewarding hikes you'll ever take. At the top, on a clear day, you can see out across some of the most beautiful mountains in Craig County -- a view you can take in as you get harnessed up and clipped into the zip line. After everything's been double-checked, your instructor will count you down 3... 2... 1! You'll get lifted off the platform and away you go!
Who can go?
The following restrictions apply to our zip line: All zip liners must fit safely in our harnesses to be able to ride, our weight range is from 65 to 250 pounds. All long hair must be tied back, closed-toed shoes with heel-straps must be worn, and any kind of camera or GoPro can be used at the Zip Liner's own risk.
How do I sign up!?
Owing to the nature of our small staff and the many wonderful activities we offer, reservations are required for all to Zip Line. If you are coming to Wilderness Adventure with a group retreat, please indicate you'd like to add zip lining to your Group Pricing Request. If you're with a small group, or looking for a fun day out with your family or friends, please aim to visit us during one of our Adventure Week-ends. You are welcome to call at least 48 hours in advance to see if you can join one of our already scheduled Zip Lines, however we cannot promise that we will be available to run Zip Lines on non-Adventure Weekends or outside of our Group Program schedule.
