June 19th-25th, 2011–Southern Whitewater
Trip Description: The New River that runs through Southwest Virginia and into West Virginia is a beautiful and historic region, and even better it has some great rapids! On our Southern Whitewater Excursion you will travel by water all the way from McCoy Falls near Blacksburg, VA to the New River Gorge in Fayetteville, WV. Instruction will be available no matter what your level of ability and include topics like how to wet exit, learning to roll, perfecting a variety of styles of rolling, paddling techniques, how to catch an eddy, surfing swift water waves and going through Class III+ rapids. Enjoy some sunny VA days on the river while learning new skills to make you an expert paddler. $895 includes all camping equipment, boat + accessories rental, meals, instruction, and transportation. If the 7 day trip seems a little to much to start, join us on our Saturday Adult Kayaking Skill Clinic on May 28th, 2011.

June 26th-July 2nd, 2011–New River Rock
Trip Description: Believe it or not the picture above isn’t from a tropical paradise, but just one of the perfect scenes that you will see at the New River Gorge only 2 hours from our base camp. Anyone interested in climbing on the east coast has to know about the legendary New River Gorge and its endless and amazing climbs. The beautiful (mostly) limestone climbs have fun, challenging routes for all ability levels. During this trip you will learn to belay like a pro, practice mock leads, and push your skills to the next level. Also the NRG is know for its picturesque views, refreshing swimming holes, and of course Pies & Pints the best post climb food around. All you need to bring is your toiletries & clothes (don’t forget your bathing suit) and we will provide the rest. All instruction, equipment, meals (except maybe some spending money to hit up Pies & Pints), and transportation are provided for just $895. If a 7 day excursion is not quite in the budget, join us for our Saturday Adult Rock Climbing/Rappelling Skill Clinic on May 14th, 2011.

July 3rd-9th, 2011–Taste of the AT
Trip Description: The Appalachian Trail is something that most avid hikers have on their list, but it can be challenging to begin the process of section hiking the trail on your own. Start your section hike with us and accomplish up to 50 miles in week, on one of the beautiful sections through scenic Southern, VA. The journey may take you past one of the most photographed vistas on the entire AT at McAfee’s Knob or the unique overlook at Dragon’s Tooth. This trip is very doable for beginners but is still a great experience for avid hikers as well. All gear, transportation, meals and instruction is included the tuition of $895. If a week long journey is a little above your level, check out our one day adult intro into backpacking on April 30th, 2011.

July 10th-16th, 2011–Best of Virginia’s Mountain Biking
Trip Description: South west Virginia has become the up and coming east coast mecca for mountain biking, so come and see what we have to offer with experienced and skilled biking instructors and mechanics. Spend a week honing your skills over rocks, roots, boulder gardens and burms at the best single track trails in our region. Our staff also will teach you bike maintenance, tricks of the trade, and quick fixes for the trail. You don’t even need a bike, we will provide everything; including water bottles, helmets and biking gloves. We also provide all transportation to the different trails, camping equipment, meals and instruction for only $895/person. If you aren’t quite ready for a 7 day trip, join us on our Saturday Adult Mountain Biking Skill Clinic at Carvin’s Cove on April 16th, 2011.
