We have a little secret that most of our guests don’t know. One of our favorite times of year is actually in the winter.
Our staff get to relax and unwind, warming ourselves by the fire in our cozy Main Lodge. Sipping wine or cocoa, enjoying quality time with each other while gazing out the window at the perfect, untainted snow lying all around. This year you are in luck for the first time because we have decided to share.
Join us this winter and come as a couple for a romantic getaway or bring a group of friends for a fun and inexpensive overnight retreat. Our Bed & Breakfast offer will only last during our non-peak season from December-March, so don’t wait too long. Once March begins our big groups come and take over the property and the tranquility melts away like the snow.

$149/night in the Sneaky Cabin for two

While staying in Sneaky it is only an additional $10/person for up to 8 people.

Take $10/night off your stay during the weekdays! We’re not as busy during the week and hopefully neither are you. Come for a visit and have our staff wait on you hand and foot, while having extra privacy!

Massages: We really lucked out when we hired a new addition to the WAEL family. Our in house masseuse and soon to be yogi, Koko Radford, keep us all feeling good. Dinner: Enjoy a special treat and have our full-time chefs cook something special just for you. This will not be your average Wilderness Adventure buffet, which people already rave about. Our chefs love the opportunity to exercise their culinary creativity and you can be the lucky person to experience the outcome. You can even request your favorites, or go with the chef’s choice. Cost is $14/person and includes salad, bread, entree, 2 sides and dessert.
Bottle of Wine with WAEL Logo Glasses in your room upon arrival: Makes a great souvenir that you can use for years to come at your own house. Our glasses are tastefully etched with our logo, and we will have 2 awaiting your arrival for $10 plus the cost of the wine or champagne selected. Activities:
Zip Line: Take the rare opportunity to zip across a winter wonderland while feeling the cold breeze on your face. Exciting and refreshing! Add some adventure to your winter and make your romantic getaway more than the ordinary. $20/person
Climbing Wall: Still a fun activity during the off-season. Many weekends from December-February can be quite sunny and nice during the middle of the day. The day before or after your bed & breakfast style stay, you can enjoy activities such as this depending on the weather. We are always accommodating and flexible and can schedule activities during your stay as long as staff availability permits.
Caving Day Trip: As the weather gets colder, we at Wilderness Adventure realize it can be more difficult to find ways to get your family outside and stay active. Caves stay the same temperature year round, ~55 degrees, and can be a great way to learn more about the amazing underground world! Join us on December 3rd for a trip to Island Ford Cave in Covington or on December 17th for a trip to Tawney’s Cave in Giles County.
