Altillo Vineyards

(Formerly AltaVista Vineyard’s & Winery in Hurt, VA)  Altillo Vineyards is a small family-run vineyard and winery that specializes in limited production of finely crafted wines.  While they may have a bit higher price tag it is for a good reason!  Unlike many Virginia Vineyards, Altillo ensures that their grapes are from their own vineyard or supplemented from high quality grapes provided ONLY by Virginia growers.  Just speaking with the father & son duo for a short time gives you a great deal of insight of the dedication this winery has to staying local and using quality product.  You can find the father & son team selling their wines on the lookout up to Mountain Lake near Blacksburg on a sunny day, and at a variety of other events.  Follow them on facebook to get updates on harvests, events and wines.
