Three days at Wilderness Adventure

Five hundred acres of Blue Ridge forest, field and creek, with The Dead Reckoning playing Grateful Dead classics all weekend long. Dance, hike the trails, float the creek, throw a round of disc golf, then head back to the fire. It's a small, laid-back festival.

Camping and lodging

  • Camping

    Communal tent sites are included with every weekend pass. Premium upgrades are available in the meadow and wall field, along with RV and car camping. Booking opens soon.

    Cabins and lodge rooms with private bathrooms. Booking opens soon.

Food & drink

Food and drink at the festival

The Outpost serves food from Friday night through Sunday lunch — burgers, tacos, french toast, omelets, pancakes, pizza, burrito bowls and vegetarian options. Cold beer and wine at sundown: PBR, Parkway Brewery selections, and wine by the glass or bottle.

21+ with valid ID. No outside alcohol permitted.

  • Wristbands worn at all times
  • Outside food in camping areas only
  • Free re-entry through security

Main stage
  • Blankets and low-back chairs welcome
  • Small umbrellas are fine
  • Pop-up tents in designated areas only

Fires
  • Open fires only in established fire rings
  • Small gas stoves permitted

Water and facilities
  • Free potable water from the blue spigots throughout
  • Four men's and four women's shower stalls
  • First aid at the Outpost
  • Slow free WiFi near the main lodge, no cell service
Arrival and departure
  • Arrive after 12pm Friday
  • Depart by Sunday evening
  • Car-camp friendly campsites

  • Miles of unguided hiking and biking trails
  • Bike rentals first come, first served
  • Tubing and canoe shuttles, and the Giant Swing when it runs, are paid for at the Outpost
  • Activities depart 15 minutes before the hour
  • Pond closed, no swimming or boating
